January 2012 Split Cost Fishing Charters

Tampa fishing for big troutFor any of you interested in a split cost fishing charter in the month of January, please let me know in the next few days. Simply respond to this email. I'll do my best to get you paired up with someone as quickly as possible.  The best fishing days in the coming month are January 8th through 13th and January 20th through 26th.  This most recent cold front should have definitely pushed more big trout into our local area, so as temperatures warm back up, the bite should be on. Redfishing for low to mid slot sized fish was good right before the last front so chances are good that a few redfish can be found as well.

Seminar - Understanding Weather and Tides

0301ridegrouptroutThis Thursday Evening, January 5th at 6PM, I will be giving a seminar on "Understanding Weather and Tides" at West Marine / 1721 Gulf to Bay Boulevard / Clearwater, Florida 33755.  From November through March, weather fronts play a large role in our local fishing. Tides are a critical factor as well. Knowing how to pick the days and times to fish will greatly improve your fishing results.  As always, pizza and drinks will be available.  Don't forget to bring a recent "best catch" picture to be entered into the drawing for the West Marine gift card.  I look forward to seeing you there.

Split Cost Fishing Charters - December 2011

Tampa Fishing for winter redfishFor any of you interested in a split cost fishing charter in the month of December, please let me know in the next few days. With inshore water temperatures dipping into the low to mid sixties now, most fishing will be centered around catching redfish and big winter seatrout.  There may be a few weeks left where there will be an opportunity to catch near shore grouper but this will, of course, be catch and release fishing.

Again, on these split charters, each side of the split can bring up to two people (total).  The cost of a split charter will be $25 more than half the cost of a normal charter for the first person. The additional cost for the second person will be $25. So, for example, a six hour charter is $500.  It would cost one person on a split charter $275 ($250 + $25).  The second person would be $25, so the total due for two for a split half day charter would be $300. All of my rates are posted on my website under Pricing and Information.  If you have any questions, please feel free to give me a call.  Thanks and have a wonderful holiday season.
